The Blue Bar at The Berkeley has created ‘Out Of The Blue’ to take guests on an explorative journey of taste by stimulating the senses through a combination of the finest ingredients and bespoke technology.
In partnership with some of the world's finest drinks companies, including Laurent-Perrier, up to four guests will have the exclusive opportunity to try curated cocktails in a secret space within the heart of the hotel. Tailored technology, culinary science and mixology will all combine to enhance the perception of flavour through sight, sound and scent.
Every good barman knows that a cocktail is more than the sum of its parts. While the elements of a drink may stay the same, the taste can be enhanced or even transformed by its surroundings. Experimenting with how the context of a drink affects flavour, the team at the Blue Bar has taken this theory a step further to curate a controlled 360-degree environment where specially-designed film and molecular scents combine with bespoke cocktails.
